Fascism and Women’s Health – None of Us Is Spared
Women’s health is under attack, and this is not a fringe issue. Attacks on women’s health are direct attacks on a majority of Americans, and they harm everyone.

The Heritage Foundation has released Saving America by Saving the Family: A Foundation for the Next 250 Years, the hypocritical title for what is thought to be the follow-up to Project 2025. The report includes clear themes throughout that target women and the LGBTQIA+ community.
Project 2025 is worse than you may think. The policies you've heard of are bad. The ones floating beneath the surface amount to a plot to make America a white nationalist country.
By Anita Saville When leaders of Indivisible Northampton-Swing Left of Western MA (IN-SLWM) planned a rally to protest […]
There are more than three dozen Indivisible groups in Massachusetts. Each has a unique mission. Each has its own personality. Separately, their work is amazing. Together they can greatly multiply their impact.
Imagine the scene: a “pro-life” organizer sends an email to her followers in which she appears to label reproductive rights activists, including legitimately ordained clergy, “the enemy” and accuses them of “killing, stealing, destroying, and deceiving.” She calls on followers to join her “spiritual army” and to be “ambassadors of His Truth.”
On July 5, progressive activists from western Mass. showed up at the Easthampton City Council meeting which was considering a modest ordinance that would provide information about reproductive and gender-affirming medical care, and protect people seeking those services from being reported to other states.
I am a physician who has long been aware of, and done a fair amount of reading about, the anti-abortion centers (AACs, aka crisis pregnancy centers) that seek to bring all pregnancies to term. So when IMC’s Feminist Action Team asked for volunteers to attend open houses at several of these facilities in June, I didn’t hesitate. I went online to RSVP.
During a recent standout held by Greater Andover Indivisible and Solidarity Lowell at the Pregnancy Care Center (PCC) in Lowell, a PCC Board member came out to talk — insisting that we should not be protesting without knowing what his center does.
I recently learned about “Crisis Pregnancy Centers” (CPCs) and feel compelled to shout from the rooftops the enraging facts I now know. These centers often pretend to provide pregnancy care. But they are usually no more than anti-abortion propaganda centers.
On Mother’s Day weekend, the IMC Feminist Action Team organized activists across Massachusetts to hold coordinated stand outs at nine of the anti-abortion Crisis Pregnancy Centers in the state. Despite our state’s AG and Governor’s stance against these fake centers, there are between 30-60 of these unregulated anti-abortion centers in MA.
There are some 35 places in Massachusetts that advertise pregnancy or abortion information and counseling to pregnant women that provide no abortion care services at all, yet some women mistakenly end up there.
There are more than 30 “crisis pregnancy centers” (CPCs) located in Massachusetts — outnumbering the state’s 20 clinics and hospitals that provide abortion healthcare. These so-called fake clinics outnumber the state’s 11 abortion clinics three to one.
Mass. Indivisibles showed up this weekend to build a #WomensWave — organizing, attending, and speaking at events across the state!
The midterms loom, and we're all needed to get out the vote. We did it in 2018, 2020 and we CAN and MUST do it again in 2022!
At the height of the ‘60s, a group of young women in Chicago dropped out of the male-dominated civil rights and anti-war movements to do something about terrible experiences pregnant women were facing.
Indivisible members protested around the Commonwealth on May 14, 2022 to show our determination to protect abortion rights. Young and old, women and allies expressed their anger at Justice Alito’s dismissive draft opinion. The feeling in the crowd was angry and frustrated — but also energized, determined, and even humorous. Large rallies were held elsewhere in the state and around the U.S. to send a clear message: We’re not going back!
Residents of Texas who need access to abortion must now leave their home state to access care. Texans are essentially living as if it were 1972, before Roe vs. Wade. Anyone who seeks abortion care — and those who help them — can be severely penalized.
